"The Greater Sac AAZK chapter had a wonderful time with our MOM
event - we began selling raffle tickets at a zoo-wide event called
"Celebrating California" a week prior. On Mother's Day we hosted a
bake-sale and sold more raffle tickets. An amazing number of local
businesses supported us with free baked goods and fantastic raffle
prizes. And we were able to share information about the plight of the
orangutan and educate visitors about palm oil at both events. With such a
small chapter I was really impressed with how many guests we interacted
with and how much money we raised. We can't wait for next year's event -
this is going to be an annual campaign for our chapter."
