New Video: Walking the Plank

Check out our latest video: Walking the Plank - OuTrop & Orangutan Outreach

Orangutan Outreach is thrilled to be working with OUTROP — the Orangutan Tropical Peatland Project and we recently helped the team rebuild their jungle boardwalks.
OuTrop works to protect some of the most important areas of tropical rainforest in Borneo, including the peat swamps of Sabangau, home to the world’s largest orangutan population. They monitor the behavioral ecology of the forest's flagship ape and cat species, carry out biodiversity and forestry research, and work with local partners to develop conservation solutions. OuTrop works in partnership with CIMTROP (Centre for International Cooperation in Sustainable Management of Tropical Peatland) at the University of Palangka Raya in Central Kalimantan. They also work closely with the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation at Nyaru Menteng
