Serendipity: Orangutans and the Passing of Luke Perry

We are honored to have received a donation in memory of the late actor Luke Perry. When the Beverly Hills 90210 superstar passed away in March, local orangutan-lover Monica W. was moved to make a donation in his honor. As serendipity would have it, she happened to see our rolling Red Apes mobile while walking back to her car following a fine lunch in Orangutan Outreach's hometown of Hudson, NY. Monica had fallen in love with an orangutan named Budi who is being cared for by our partners IAR in Ketapang, Indonesia. Her donation in Luke's honor will go to further the care of orangutans at the center.
