Orangutan mothers are attentive, protective, nurturing and loving. Orangutans stay with their devoted mothers for up to 8 years, learning all the skills they need to survive in the forest, and females learn how to be good mothers themselves. Borneo Nature Foundation has observed all of this as they have followed a special family of wild orangutans in Sebangau National Park for the past 20 years.
