Video: Guarding Orangutan Pre-Release Islands
The rivers surrounding the BOS Foundation pre-release islands serve as a natural barrier that helps keep the orangutans in the rehabilitation area. During the dry season when the river levels drop, the teams create “zone guarding” to keep the orangutans safely on their pre-release islands.
Fires have been raging all across the forests of Borneo for the past several months.
