At the end of 2019, just before Covid-19 would change the world forever, the BOS Foundation was contacted by the local forestry authorities and asked to care for several baby orangutans who had been confiscated from small villages near the Nyaru Menteng rescue facility. One of those babies was a little guy named Monyo. He and the other rescued infants, including Niniek and Hanua, immediately became best friends! Read more about their adventures here. All the young orangutans passed through quarantine and joined the Forest School 'Littlies' Nursery Group. Monyo is not afraid of climbing trees but will usually stop at one or two meters off the ground. Keep climbing, Monyo! Someday you'll be King of the Canopy!

YES! I want to adopt Monyo!
